URGENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
NZNDTA AGM 2008
The AGM will be held at HERA, 19 Gladding Place, Manukau City starting at 1030am and finishing at 1200pm.
AGM notices and nomination forms will be posted by the 14th November.
Please find attached link to the AGM 2008 agenda and Nomination form should you be interested in joining our committee.
After the AGM there will be a short committee meeting.
Exam fee application fee discounts
AINDT have today (27th Sept 2008) agreed to reinstate NZNDTA members discounts on exam application fees. If you have not already renewed your NZNDTA membership, now is the time to do so. NZNDTA will shortly be sending out reminders for overdue subscriptions, after which, if subscriptions are not paid, your membership will be cancelled. If you wish to renew your membership after this time then an additional application fee will apply.
ISO 9712 NDT exams
As a result of the recent industry forum meeting on the 29th August the NZNDTA were asked to seek out alternative ISO 9712 / 17024 NDT certification schemes to continue providing these services to NZ.
Industry desired to have continued access to an internationally recognized NDT certification given that CBIP would not be able to provide ISO 9712 certified exams in November.
The NZNDTA can now advise that we have been able to secure continued access to the AINDT ISO 9712 / 17024 NDT certification scheme for the advertised November round of NDT exams.
Applications for this exam round close on 6th October. Please refer to the NZNDTA examcoordinator function page on this web site for more details how to apply.
EXECUTIVE MEETING
The NZNDTA executive held an industry meeting on the 29th August at HERA in Auckland.The meeting was attended by representatives of all major NDT companies in NZ and discussed a wide variety of issues including future options for an ISO 9712 / 17024 NDT examination scheme in NZ.
The attached letter to CBIP is a summary of the concerns of industry and the mandate given to NZNDTA to represent the NDT industry.

The NZNDTA has been advised by AINDT that the CBIP service contract has been terminated. .

Web site launch
The NZNDTA Incorporated officially launched its web site on Monday 10th March.
The web site will continue to developed with a stage 2 version including a members access section was launched 29th May 2008.
